Summer is here. That means people want to be outside.
For homeowners, that means barbeques, kids playing in the sprinklers and lawn mowers roaring as they cut the grass.
So, this week we thought we'd look at homes with plenty of room to roam.
For those looking to buy a house with a big yard, you might not have to pay that much more extra for it.
Aman Daro, director of marketing at Red Oak Realty, says in general the larger the lot the more a home will cost. However, the cost difference isn't all that great in most cases.
A better indicator of price, Daro says, is the home's square footage.
In Upper Rockridge, we found this four-bedroom, three-bathroom home at 165 Beechwood Drive that sits on slightly more than a quarter acre.
The home, built in 1937, is 2,693 square feet. It's listed at $1.2 million.
Do you know of other homes on large lots that are for sale in your community? Let us know in the comments.
