How Long Would You Wait in Line for a Sandwich at Bakesale Betty's?
A recent visit to the Telegraph Avenue eatery got this editor wondering how long folks would be willing to wait in line to try the shop's popular chicken sandwich.
After countless times of seeing a line stretch down Telegraph Avenue, I decided to stand in it one Saturday afternoon — all for a chance to try a chicken sandwich from Bakesale Betty's.
Located at 5098 Telegraph Ave., the sandwich shop draws visitors from all over the Bay Area.
Since it's open just three hours, five days a week (11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday), I made sure to arrive no later than noon on Saturday.

After a 45-minute wait, I finally got a glimpse of cook Alison Barakat in her blue wig and a chance to sink my teeth into the popular sandwich everyone has been raving about.
I thought it was worth the wait, but want to hear from you.
