Long Time, No Sell: Homes That Are Back On The Market After A Long Absence
This home in Piedmont hasn't changed hands since 1989

Every neighborhood has at least a few of them.
Homes where the occupants have lived there for 20 years or more.
These folks resisted the temptation to sell during the 1990s when the median home price in California rose from $194,000 to $248,000.
They floated along with the housing bubble from 2000 to 2006, then survived the housing crash the following six years.
Now, the opportunity to sell may be too enticing for even these long-time owners. Among other things, home prices have risen for 15 straight months now.
With all that in mind, we thought we'd take a look this week at houses on the market that have had the same owner for a decade or two.
In Rockridge, this two-bedroom, two-bathroom home at 5301 Locksley Ave. hasn't been in escrow since 1989. The listed price for the 1,598-square-foot home is $615,000.
