The Rockridge branch of the Oakland Public Library invites kids – and other ages too – to "make your own valentines with us" on Thursday.

The event, from 3:30-5 p.m., is designed for ages 5-12, though a flyer for the event also says, "All ages welcome!" Children under 8 are asked to come with an adult.

Materials will be provided, and you can bring colorful scraps of paper to add if you wish, according to the flyer.
