Oakland Man and Hayward Woman Shot in East Oakland
Both suffered injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

A man and woman were shot and wounded in East Oakland on Sunday afternoon, according to police. The shooting was reported at 1:10 p.m. in the 7200 block of Herbert Guice Way, near the corner of 72nd Avenue and International Boulevard.
The man, an 18-year-old Oakland resident, appeared to be the intended target of the shooting. A 50-year-old Hayward woman standing nearby was also hit by gunfire and suffered minor injuries, according to police spokeswoman Officer Johnna Watson.
The woman was taken to a hospital by ambulance and was released from the hospital as of this morning. The 18-year-old was taken to a hospital by a relative. His wounds are not considered life-threatening, Watson said. Police have not identified any suspects nor made any arrests in
the case.
