Oakland A's Catcher Suspect Of Aggravated Assault
A woman delivering food to Bruce Maxwell's house said the catcher pointed a gun at her.

OAKLAND, CA --Oakland Athletics officials issued a statement Sunday about allegations involving their catcher.
Catcher Bruce Maxwell was arrested Saturday at 6:08 p.m. at his home in Scottsdale, Arizona, after a woman who was delivering food to his house said he allegedly pointed a gun at her, Scottsdale police said.
"We were disappointed to learn of the allegations, A's officials said. "We take this situation and ongoing investigation seriously. We are gathering information from the proper authorities."

Police said Maxwell was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and disorderly conduct.
A's officials said they have no further comment now.
