Oakland Rainfall Totals Through Sunday
Some Alameda and Contra Costa county cities got more rainfall in one weekend than in all of October 2015. And that was an El Nino year.

EAST BAY AREA, CA — If you love the sound of rain on your roof, this weekend was perfect for putting on a fluffy sweater and curling up with a good book, baking something sinfully delicious or tackling your vote-by-mail ballot from beginning to end. I'm in that latter category. Voting: check. (If you're in the second category, I'll be right over to take those leftovers off your hands!)
While we were indoors staying dry, rain gauges and rain barrels were filling up. In fact, according to the National Weather Service, some cities received more rain in the 72-hour period ending Sunday night at 7:25 p.m. that in all of October 2015.
