One Dead In I-580 Crash In Oakland

OAKLAND, CA — The driver of a vehicle died after crashing into a tree on the eastbound Interstate Highway 580 off-ramp at Dutton Avenue in Oakland early Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP said the collision was first reported at 12:22 a.m. The driver, who wasn't identified, died at the scene. The off-ramp has been closed as the CHP investigates the collision with no estimated time of reopening.
