
ROCKRIDGE, CA — The two people who were found fatally shot at their home in Oakland's Rockridge neighborhood on Sunday morning in what police said was a possible murder-suicide were identified Tuesday as 64-year-old Mark Williams and 73-year-old Cheryl Williams, his wife.
Officers responded to the 5800 block of Keith Avenue around 10:16 a.m. on Sunday after receiving a report of gunfire, police said.
When officers arrived, they heard a gunshot from inside a home.

The officers found two people, later identified as Mark and Cheryl Williams, suffering from gunshot wounds.
They both succumbed to their injuries at the home despite the efforts from the Oakland Fire Department and Paramedic Plus, police said.

Authorities haven't released further details about the fatal shooting.
The couple's house is adjacent to state Highway 24 and only a few blocks from the College Avenue shopping area and the Rockridge BART station.
