Rockridge Town Hall Meeting on Thursday

On the agenda: sound walls and the Oakland Heritage Alliance

The Rockridge Community Planning Council will hold a town hall meeting Thursday Jan. 17, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the Rockridge Branch Library, 5366 College Ave. (at Manila).

First up on the agenda: whether or not to build soundwalls along State Highway 24 where it passes through Rockridge. City of Oakland representatives will discuss how local residents can use a petition process to express their support for the soundwalls.

Also on tap: a presentation on the Oakland Heritage Alliance and on Oakland: The Story of a City by Beth Bagwell.
