A's Skipper Named AL Manager of the Year
This is the third nod by the Baseball Writers' Association of America.

OAKLAND, CA — Oakland A's manager Bob Melvin was named today as the American League Manager of the Year by the Baseball Writers' Association of America.
Melvin helmed the A's as they made a surprising postseason appearance this season, going 97-65, a 22-win improvement over the team's 2017 record.
It is the third time Melvin has won the award. He received it as the A's manager in 2012 and won the National League Manager of the Year award as the Arizona Diamondbacks' manager in 2007.
