SLHRS Summer Model Train Show & Open House
We're pleased to host our first open house since the repainting of our 1898 Southern Pacific Depot. Won't you be our guest to celebrate?
It's time again for our annual San Leandro Historical Railway Society Summer Open House & Model Train Show! This year’s open house will be Saturday July 16th & Sunday July 17th, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM both days! As always, admission is free, but donations are always appreciated to help keep our mission alive!
Festivities Will Include:
- HO Scale Model Train Display of the Overland Route from San Leandro to Sparks, NV in operation
- G&O Gauge Garden Railway Display in operation with Interactive Children's Layout
- Bake Sale
- Train Rummage Sale
- Engineer Photo Ops
- Raffle with AMAZING Prizes!
Win Big!
We’ve stepped up our game on raffle prizes this year and we have some truly amazing prizes to turn your Summer Fun up to 11 this summer! Raffle Tickets are $1.00 each, $5.00 for 10 tickets, or $10.00 for your height (or the tallest person in your party’s height) in tickets! You can choose to put several in for each prize or really hedge your bets and go all in on your favorite prize! Here are this year’s Summer prizes:
- 4 Plaza Outfield Vouchers to a 2016 regular Oakland Athletics home game
- Oakland Zoo Family Day Pass (Includes admission for 2 adults, 2 children, 1 free parking for 1 vehicle)
- 2 General Admission Tickets to the San Francisco Zoo + 4 tickets for the Little Puffer Miniature Steam Train within the zoo
- 2 General Admission Tickets to the Aquarium of the Bay at Pier 39
- A San Jose Sharks hockey puck autographed by #34 James Reimer
- 4 Excursion Train Vouchers at the California State Railroad Museum in Sacramento
- Dockside Tour for 2 on the USS Potomac Presidential Yacht docked in Jack London Square.
