Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry sets his basketball aside to see computer coding projects by Oakland students.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA — The Golden State Warriors tip off a new season tonight at Oracle Arena against the Houston Rockets. The Warriors will raise their Champion banner prior to the game.
The team reports, "The Warriors will honor the team's 2016-17 NBA Championship by unveiling the championship banner and conducting a ring ceremony prior to tonight's game at 7:15 p.m. In addition, all fans attending tonight's game will receive a Warriors Championship T-Shirt, courtesy of Chase."
Two time MVP Stephen Curry squeezed in a final charity event before the start of the season, joining Oakland Unified School District students at a Code.org event in San Francisco last Wednesday night.

Students from Bret Harte, Coliseum College Prep Academy (CCPA), Roosevelt and McClymonds showed off their projects to Curry and other attendees.
The Warriors great and father of two also posed for pictures with the students.

The Warriors Community Foundation has donated $5 million to support educational equity in Alameda and San Francisco counties.
