Temescal's Juhu Beach Club Adds Lunch Service
A recent review gives the new eatery high marks for entrees as well as its signature street food-style sandwiches.
Juhu Beach Club, the new Indian street food restaurant at 5179 Telegraph Ave., Oakland, is "worth sitting down for," writes a fod critic in this week's East Bay Express.
While some street food fans have criticized the restaurant's prices and "lack of authenticity, "Both of my meals provided fair value — for the high-quality ingredients; for the friendly service; for the fun, festive atmosphere," the review says.
It cited the vada pav (a street-style sandwich), gujarati-style samosas and hearty entrée-size curries as standout menu items.

The review also notes that Juhu Beach Club is now open for lunch as well as dinner.
