Three Suspects Arrested in Clarke, 59th Street Robberies on Thursday
Oakland police say two juveniles were arrested in connection with a robbery attempt on Clarke Street, while a third suspect was arrested after robberies on 59th, Racine and McAuley streets.

Oakland police arrested three suspects Thursday night after a series of street robberies in Rockridge, according to the Oakland Police Department.
In the first incident, a male victim was walking home in the 5100 block of Clarke Street about 5:30 p.m. when he wa accosted by two juveniles who said they had a gun, police said.
The victim ran, got help from people in a passing car and called police, while the young robbers fled and tried to hide, police said.

The victim was able to describe the suspects, who were located by police and identified by the victim, the OPD reported.
In a second series of incidents later Thursday evening, a male victim was walking home from the Rockridge BART station when he was approached by a man who brandished a weapon and demanded the man's possessions, police said. The robbery took place on 59th Street.

The same person was responsible for another street robbery in the 5900 block of Racine Street about 15 minutes later and then tried to rob a third person in the 400 block of McAuley Street, police said.
The victims were able to provide detailed descriptions and OPD oficers located and arrested a suspect who was identified by the victims, the police report said.
