Town Hall Meeting on Oakland Public Safety
The city is holding a series of meetings for residents to provide input on a comprehensive crime reduction plan for Oakland. The most convenient for Rockridge and Temescal residents is Saturday, March 23.

The City of Oakland is seeking input from residents on public safety priorities to incorporate into a comprehensive crime reduction and suppression strategic plan, according to a press release.
Oakland residents are invited to a series of town hall meetings, structured as a conversation between residents and city officials, including Mayor Jean Quan, City Administrator Deanna J. Santana, city councilmembers, Police Chief Howard Jordan and members of the OPD command staff.
The nearest town hall for Rockridge and Temescal residents is Saturday, March 23, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Beebe Memorial Cathedral, 3900 Telegraph Ave.

Other town halls coming up are Wednesday, March 20, 6 to 9 p.m. at Castlemont High School, 8601 MacArthur Blvd., and Saturday, April 27, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cesar Chavez Education Center, 2825 International BLvd. (Spanish interpretation provided at this event).
Oakland residents are welcome to attend whichever town hall is most convenient for them. No RSVP is required.
