Two Men Shot in Oakland

Injuries in both cases were not life-threatening, suspects have not been located.

Two men were shot in Oakland on Monday evening and early this morning, police said. At about 1 a.m. today, a man was shot while standing in line at a taco truck in the 1000 block of Fruitvale Avenue, according to police.

The suspect was with a group of four other men there and he and the victim exchanged glances. The suspect then pulled out a gun and shot the victim, police said. The suspects fled the area. The victim went to a hospital on his own with injuries not considered life-threatening, police said.

The other shooting happened during a robbery in the 1300 block of 50th Avenue at 6:43 p.m. Monday, police said. The victim was waiting outside of a relative’s home to be let in when two suspects approached him, robbed him, and shot him in the leg, police said. The man called police and was taken to a hospital in stable condition. Police did not locate the suspects.
