Paul Marcus Wines is a common destination for wine lovers looking to grab a bottle for a romantic dinner or a party.

But for those looking to celebrate a really special occasion with the store's most expensive bottle, employee John Khayami has to grab some keys and head to the back.

He pulls out Conterno Barolo Riserva Monfortino, a 2004 dry red wine. One bottle will set you back $495. Khayami said the last time someone purchased a bottle was 18 months ago.

Nestled within Market Hall, the wine store located at 5655 College Ave., carries more than 600 varities of vino.

Among the selection, Khayami said Italian wines are the most popular, followed by French wines.
