Where to Tipple on College Avenue

Rockridge has no shortage of spots to hoist a glass. But the East Bay Express singled out a pair of College Avenue establishments — far apart in style — as part of its in its annual Insiders' Guide, published today.

In a survey of a couple of dozen East Bay taverns, The Express called Ye Olde Hut, 5515 College Ave., "a criminally underappreciated ping-pong bar" and Barclay's, 5940 College Ave., an "unlikely kid-friendly brewpub."
