Calming Forest Symmetry: Photo Of The Week

This photo was snapped up near South Lake Tahoe.

EL DORADO NATIONAL FOREST, CA - A first glance, this may appear to be a succulent plant. But it's actually a plot of trees planted in the 1980's. Patch reader William Auyeung captured the serene scene using a drone.

William says he snapped the photo in the El Dorado National Forest right before South Lake Tahoe. Thanks for sharing your photo!

William is a registered nurse in the emergency department of Kaiser Hospital in Santa Clara. He sent other photos that he took around Northern California. Look for more of his photos in the weekend roundup published on Sundays by Patch editor Maggie Avants.
