Online School Students Host Drive to Benefit Ronald McDonald House

Local online school student meet in-person for community service event.

On Tuesday, September 22, students, families and teachers from California Virtual Academy (CAVA) @Sutter participated in a donation drive for the Ronald McDonald House. California Virtual Academy students distributed crayons, coloring books and baked cookies for the children at the Ronald McDonald House, gathering in-person to socialize and give back to their community. Students from CAVA also gathered with the families at Ronald McDonald House to decorate a banner that will hang in the hallways of the Ronald McDonald House.

“I love it when our CAVA students can be involved in the community – and our students love the opportunity to connect in-person,” said Traci Trevino, Local Development Manager for CAVA. “With much of their engagement done virtually through our online school, meeting face-to-face through these service days is always a great time. CAVA is excited for future partnership opportunities with the Ronald McDonald House.”
