Rancho Cordova Police are hosting a gang-prevention seminar Thursday, June 20 to educate locals on how to protect themselves and identify if a family member is involved in a gang.
The free seminar, called “Gangs – Intervention Strategies to Protect Youth,” will give parents the information they need to identify if their child may be involved in a gang. They will learn about gang identifiers, symbols, clothing, and which gangs are active in our communities.
Parents will also receive information about alternative resources such as PAL (Police Activities League) and other after-school programs, according to the Rancho Cordova Police Department.
For more information, contact Sergeant Wayne Stephens at (916) 875-5710.
