Pritchett Wins School Board Race

Rosemont parent Christina Pritchett cruised to victory Tuesday in the race to represent Area 3 on the Sacramento City Unified School District board.

Pritchett, the president of the Rosemont High School PTA, led with 42 percent of the vote, with all precincts counted. Opponent Eric Sunderland trailed her with 31percent, while fellow Rosemonter Mark Ambrose—who won the Sacramento Bee's endorsement last month—had 27 percent.

Area 3 includes Rosemont, College Greens, La Riviera and parts of Rancho Cordova. The vote totals include 33 of 35 precincts reporting.
