Want to Put Your Kids Behind Bars? (Temporarily)
The Sacramento County Probation Department is holding the 4th annual open house for the Juvenile Hall located at 9601 Kiefer Blvd.
For any parent who's ever wanted to show their kid what being behind bars is really like, they'll get their chance April 6.
That's because the Sacramento County Juvenile Hall is opening its doors for its 4th annual open house and all ages are welcome.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for parents, children and stakeholders to view the facility and get first-hand understanding of what goes on in the lives of juvenile detainees,” said Suzanne Collins, Interim Chief Probation Officer in a press release. “Many people know of someone who has been in Juvenile Hall and everyone has heard stories; now is the time to learn for yourself about our facility, amazing staff, successful programs and our challenges.”
