The convenience store chain is celebrating its birthday as it does every year, by giving away one free 7.11-ounce Slurpee to each customer who asks anytime between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.

This year marks the 85th anniversary of the company and the 45th anniversary of the creation of the Slurpee itself.
“This year we expect to give away 7 million Slurpee drinks, more than ever before, beating last year’s offer by 2 million," said Joe DePinto, 7-Eleven president and CEO, in a media release on the company's website.

The company has also created downloadable birthday attire—tiny bowties, hair bows and party hats—for folks who want to dress for the occasion.Â
