Foothills Fire Near Roseville Contained After Burning 350 Acres
The Foothills Fire near Roseville was contained Monday afternoon after forcing evacuations and burning at least 355 acres.
PLACER COUNTY, CA — The Foothills Fire burned at least 355 acres and forced evacuations Monday afternoon in Rocklin, north of Roseville in Placer County. The blaze had been contained with all evacuations lifted by 3:30 p.m.
No injuries or damaged structures have been reported. Sunset West Boulevard west of Cincinnati Avenue remained closed to traffic, the Placer County Sheriff's office said.
Mandatory evacuations were ordered earlier Monday for the area east of Foothills Boulevard, west of Cincinnati Avenue, south of Athens Boulevard and north of Blue Oaks Boulevard, the Placer County Sheriff's Office said on Twitter.

The cause of the fire was not immediately clear.
