Police Search for Suspected Dentist Office Burglar

At about 7 a.m. April 29, a man pried the door of a dentist's office in the 700 block of Sunrise Avenue and went in, ransacking the office and stealing a television.

The suspect (shown in the photos to the right) appears to be a white male in his 30s, 5'8" to 6'0" tall, with a brown mustache and beard, wearing an Oakland As ballcap, a "Misfits" hooded sweatshirt, and camoflage pants.

Man Steals His Car Back From Tow Yard, Allegedly Brandishes Handgun

At 6:30 p.m. May 5, a man went to a tow yard on Tahoe Avenue to reclaim his car from storage. He tried to pay his towing and storage fees with credit cards, which were declined. He then allegedly pointed a handgun at the tow yard employee, and drove away (in his own car that had been stored).

At about 9:20 p.m., officers located the suspect in a bar on Pacific Street, and arrested him without further incident. They also located the handgun allegedly used in the crime, hidden in a shed on Ash Street. The suspect, a 21-year-old man Rocklin man, was arrested on suspicion of robbery and carjacking.

4 Arrested for Keeping Drug House

At about 7:30 a.m. May 2, officers, including crime suppression and SWAT team members, served search and arrest warrants at a home in the 200 block of Frances Avenue. The search yielded methamphetamine and other drugs and drug-related paraphernalia.

Five people were arrested, from Roseville, Fair Oaks and El Dorado Hills, for keeping a drug house and other related charges.

Duo Found with Burglar's Tools

At about 11:53 p.m. May 4, an officer patrolling the area saw two men walking on March Road behind the same auto dismantler's lot, and stopped and searched them. He found them to be in possession of burglar's tools and other evidence suggesting they were in the area to steal car parts.

The males, ages 21 and 24, from Antelope, were arrested on suspicion of prowling on private property and possessing burglar's tools. The 24-year-old was also charged with possessing heroin.

Prowler Chases Employees with Shovel

Just after midnight May 2, officers responded to a disturbance at a business in the 8200 block of Industrial Avenue. Employees had caught a man looking inside a trailer, and when they confronted him, he chased them with a shovel, then dropped the shovel and ran away. No one was struck or hurt.

Officers found the suspect, a 25-year-old man from Woodland nearby, and arrested him on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon (threatening the employees with the shovel), and prowling on private property.

Man Runs Head-First into Parked Car

At 1:28 a.m. May 4, officers responded to Church Street near Washington Boulevard to assist paramedics with an uncooperative, intoxicated male who had run head-first into a parked car. He was transported to the hospital, treated and released.

Officers also dealt with a large group of disorderly people in the same area, creating a disturbance and inciting passers-by. Four women from Sacramento were arrested for resisting and delaying officers.

Residential Burglaries & Attempted Burglaries:

Between 11:30 a.m. April 30 and 8 a.m. May 1, someone pried a rear slider and broke into an unoccupied house in the 200 block of Bonny Knoll and took family keepsake jewelry, coins and collectables. This is the second residential burglary on this normally quiet block in a 10-day period.

Between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. May 1, someone went into an unlocked apartment at 800 Gibson Drive and stole a laptop computer, a Kindle, and other electronic items.

At 12:24 p.m. May 1, a citizen reported suspicious activity--a man coming out of a backyard, carrying a flat-screen TV. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. They confirmed that a home in the 600 block of Lyndhurst had been burglarized, and a 40" plasma TV, iPad and jewelry were taken. The suspect was a black male in his 20s, about 5'10" tall and a thin build. He was clean-shaven, with short black hair, wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.

At 3:03 a.m. May 5, residents of the 1200 block of Donahue Way were awakened by someone kicking and damaging a panel in their front door. No entry was made, and officers did not locate any suspects in the area. It appears the would-be burglars fled when they realized someone was home.

Between 10 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. May 6, someone burglarized a house in the 2500 Du Bois Drive, entering by prying a patio door.  The burglar took a laptop computer, camera and jewelry.

Vehicle-Related Crime:

April 28:

Between 11:15 a.m. and 1 p.m. April 28, someone pried the door of a pickup parked in the 1500 block of Vineyard Road,and stole the stereo and music CDs.

April 30:

Between 10 p.m. April 30 and 10 a.m. May 1, someone stole a beige 2001 Nissan Altima four-door from the 200 block of Harding Blvd.

May 1:

Overnight May 1-2, someone spray-painted a car in the 1400 block of Badnovinac Drive. 

Overnight May 1/2, someone spray-painted three vehicles in the 1000 block of Shenencock Way, the 1700 block of Hilmerton Circle, and the 1400 block of Raeburn. 

May 2:

Overnight May 2/3, someone threw a rock through the window of a car in the 1300 block of Kingswood Drive. Nothing was taken.

May 3:

Overnight May 3/4, someone broke into an auto dismantler's lot in the 1900 block of PFE Road and removed batteries from several vehicles, leaving them near the rear of the lot.

May 4:

Between 3:45 and 8:15 p.m. May 4, someone stole a black 1997 Honda Accord four-door from the 1400 block of Lead Hill.

At 7:13 p.m. May 4, a resident caught someone taking items out of the bed of his pickup in the 600 block of Springfield Circle. The resident detained the suspect until officers arrived. A bag of golf clubs, tools and sporting equpment had been taken out of the pickup bed, and were returned to the victim. Officers arrested a 20-year-old male from Roseville on suspicion of grand theft, possession of stolen property, and unlawful possession of prescription narcotics.

Between 7:30 and 9:15 p.m. May 4, someone cut the rag top of a convertible parked at a movie theater parking lot on Eureka Road, and took a phone charger.

Thefts: 

Sometime during the last two weeks of April, someone stripped copper wire from a commercial roof-mounted air conditioning unit in the 1800 block of Douglas Blvd.

Between 8 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. April 26, someone stole an unlocked black Wethepeople BMX bike, with white handle bars, a gold front wheel and a red back wheel, from a bike rack at Adelante High School. Seen it? Give us a call.

Between 7:50 and 8:20 p.m. May 4, someone stole a customer's locked bike from a bike rack in the 900 block of Pleasant Grove Boulevard. The stolen bike is a white Schwinn women's mountain bike.
