Thieves Kick-In Door During Residential Burglary

Sometime over the weekend of April 26-29, someone kicked in the front door of a house in the 1500 block of Pine Valley Circle while the residents were away, ransacked the house and stole electronics, a jar of coins, and jewelry.

Suspicious Object was Pipe Filled with Dirt

At 12:11 p.m. April 29, bomb squad officers examined a suspicious object on Henderson Court. A resident spotted a suspicious-looking capped metal pipe on the ground, and called police to check it out.

Officers asked nearby residents to stay inside while they examined the pipe. Officers found it was only filled with dirt, and was not explosive.

Teen Steals Another Teen's iPhone

At 3 p.m. April 24, a teenager approached another teenager he didn't know on Pleasant Grove Boulevard near Hemingway Drive, and asked to borrow his iPhone to make a call. The teen appeared to make a call, then ran to a waiting white BMW sedan and took off with the phone.

The suspect was a white male, about 17 years old, 6'1" tall and 140 pounds, with a blond "faux hawk".

Commercial Burglaries: 

Overnight April 12/13, someone broke into a recycling center in the 1700 block of Santa Clara Drive, and took money from the safe. A suspicious vehicle, an older blue Ford Explorer, was seen near the facility at about 8:30 p.m. April 12.

Overnight April 20/21, someone broke into a market in the 1000 block of Melody Lane, entering through the attic. It's unknown what was taken.

Overnight April 21/22, someone broke into a car dealership in the 300 block of Riverside Avenue, and stole a pressure washer.

At 4:50 a.m. April 26, officers responded to a report of glass breaking at a pizza parlor in the 100 block of Main Street. They found that someone had gone into the front entry area and broken into a change machine, taking a large quantity of quarters and $1 bills.

Vehicle-Related Crime: 

Between April 17 and 20, someone cut a securing chain and stole an air compressor from the back of a pickup in the 600 block of Lilly Cross Drive.

Overnight April 18/19, someone siphoned gas from a delivery van parked in a lot at Lincoln and Vernon Streets.

Between 9 p.m. April 20 and 4:20 a.m. April 21, someone smashed the window of a car parked in the 5100 block of Foothills Boulevard, and took a wallet containing a debit card.

Overnight April 21/22, someone stole a red 2010 Honda motorcycle from a fenced lot in the 1900 block of PFE, and stole a car stereo from a car in the same lot.

Between April 21 and 23, someone smashed the windows and put dents in a car parked in the 300 block of N. Sunrise.

Overnight April 22/23, someone ransacked two unlocked vehicles on Etchingham Court. Nothing was taken.

Overnight April 22/23, someone stole a white 1990 Ford F350 utility truck with a lift bed from the 2000 block of Opportunity Drive.

Between April 24 and 25, someone stole a laptop computer from a car in the 1000 block of Hillcrest Avenue. There was no sign of forced entry.

At 2:10 a.m. April 25, an officer checked on an occupied vehicle parked at a hotel in the 200 block of Harding Boulevard, and found that it had been reported stolen recently from Sacramento. The driver, a 24-year-old Sacramento resident, was arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft and other related charges.

Overnight April 25-26, someone broke into two cars, one in the 1800 block and one in the 1900 block of Morella Circle, taking an expensive purse, a credit card, an iPod and other items. One of the victim's credit cards was used to buy gas in Antelope.

Overnight April 26/27, someone went into an unlocked vehicle in the 2200 block of Trimstone Way and took a cell phone, wallet and a duffle bag with clothing.

At 4 p.m. April 27, officers responded to the Roseville High School baseball field, to a report that an adult spectator was showing a motorcycle license plate to his friends and talking about stealing it. Officers found that the plate belonged to a motorcycle that had been stolen from Penryn 45 minutes prior. Officers investigated with the help of the Placer County Sheriff's Department, the Rocklin Police Department and CHP. The suspect, a 37-year-old Lincoln man, was arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft and possessing stolen property. The stolen motorcycle, a 2007 Yamaha, is still missing.

Between 5:15 and 9:30 p.m. April 28, someone stole a white 2002 Harley Davidson Fat Boy motorcycle from the 300 block of N. Sunrise Ave.

At 11:14 p.m. April 28, a man was seen kicking the side of a 2013 Mercedes sedan parked on Main Street at Lincoln Street, making a large dent. Officers arrested a 49-year-old Sacramento man on suspicion of felony vandalism.

 At about 6:15 p.m. April 29, someone broke into two vehicles parked in the 2000 block of Taylor Road and stole school backpacks and other property. The suspects were described as black male adults, one with short hair and one with long dreadlocks. They left in a newer dark-colored four-door sedan, possibly a Buick or an Audi.

Thefts:

Between April 19 and 20, someone stole an unsecured Pure Fix bike from a porch in the 1500 block of Heredia Drive.

Overnight April 20/21, someone cut a lock and stole Roadmaster mountain bike from an alley behind the 100 block of Los Vegas Avenue.

Between 7:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. April 22, someone stole an unlocked red mountain bike from a bike rack at Silverado Middle School.

At about 11:15 a.m. April 22, a woman put a green grocery tote down next to her car at the corner of Taylor Street and Royer Street while she buckled a child into a car seat, and then drove away, leaving it behind. When she returned about 15 minutes later, it was gone. It contained her wallet, ID and bank cards, and prescription sunglasses.

At about 2:45 a.m. April 23, someone stole an unlocked Jamis mountain bike from the 400 block of Washington Blvd. A suspect seen taking the bike was a black male in his 20s, 5'10" and 160, wearing dark clothing.

Between 11 p.m. and midnight April 24, someone broke into a gated vehicle yard on Stonehouse Court and stole mobile light towers and a 2008 Traveler cargo trailer carrying a John Deere all-terrain vehicle.
