Merryhill Elementary & Middle School Students Donate Pajamas

Students donated pajamas and books to Scholastic Book Club's Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive

Students at Merryhill Elementary & Middle School in Roseville recently donated 23 pairs of pajamas and 36 new books to benefit children in need. The items were collected as part of Scholastic Book Club’s Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive. Members of the student council organized the effort, after which students had the opportunity to wear pajamas to school to celebrate the school-wide drive. Through the project, students learned the importance of giving back to their community during the holiday season.

Pajama Program provides new pajamas and new books to children in need nationwide, many of whom are waiting to be adopted. Since 2001, Pajama Program has donated over one million pajamas and books to children. The Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive, hosted by Scholastic Book Clubs, has collected and donated over 600,000 pairs of pajamas to at-risk children through Pajama Program. Scholastic Book Clubs has matched that number by donating nearly one million books.
