Mosquito Spraying Starts Aug. 8 West of Roseville
The aerial treatment will take place in western Placer County from 7:30-10:30 p.m.
The area west of Roseville in Placer County will be sprayed for mosquitos from 7:30-10:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8 through Saturday, Aug. 10.Â
"An EPA-approved mosquito adulticide will be applied in an Ultra-low Volume (ULV) fog by aircraft in an effort to address increased mosquito populations and West Nile virus activity," according to the Placer Mosquito and Vector Control District.Â
The district also conducted ground treatment in Roseville Tuesday.Â
Treatment areas for Aug. 8-10 include agricultural areas in western Placer County south of the Highway 65 bypass to Wise Road in the south and west of Roseville from Sunset Boulevard west to the southern county border. You can see a map above and here.Â
