Here are the top stories today in Roseville:

  1. Yesterday was just epicly bad, like hearkening back to the Jon days bad, for devops. I spent the entire day with my eyes glued to 404s in realtime on GA because our system is so unstable any long calls cause it to start delivering not founds. I wasn't able to leave my desk without some top story on chartbeat suddenly throwing a not found and even worse, I discovered that because we're running the fastly experiment for new local home, I can't just purge the cache for the url, I have to purge the entire 404 key or the not founds remain. (Sacramento Bee)
  2. Bottoms Up Espresso apparently coming to Carmichael - We saw them backing that bottom up (The Business Journals)
  3. We got another budding Dexter on our hands, folks! 18-year-old arrested as officials investigate Orangevale cat deaths (ABC10.com KXTV)
  4. Checking Follow Stuff On Test (Roseville Patch)
  5. Roseville Halloween safety tips for drivers and trick-or treaters (Roseville Today)

About me: The original Pirate Queen and QA engineer for Patch. Did you know that this week I have worked at least two fourteen hour days? This sprint has been nuts and the engineering team has been keeping me hopping non-stop. I'm exhausted and very close to needing a vacation.
