Here are the top stories in Roseville today:
- In part 23 of Roseville Today's look at new California laws, the publication examines laws governing "human trafficking, online marketplaces, fire protection, flood management, contraceptives, tribal gaming, electricity and more."
- A driver in Newcastle was found to be in possession of more than 10 different identities, including sensitive information for each individual. When officers searched the vehicle of Jacqueline Alvarez, 23, they also found drug paraphernalia and three catalytic converters "that appeared to have been freshly cut." Ms. Alvarez was arrested and jailed, where she remains, as she is ineligible for bail. (Auburn Journal)
- Wreaths Across America is coming to the Palladio in Folsom on February 9. It’s an 18-wheeler mobile museum. According to the Folsom Telegraph, “in addition to serving as an exhibit to educate visitors about the service and sacrifice of all our nation’s veterans, the mobile museum is also an official ‘welcome home’ station for Vietnam Veterans.”
- Roseville Fire responded to a structure fire on Friday "in the Historic Sierra Vista neighborhood." The fire, which started in the chimney, had spread to the attic by the time firefighters arrived. They got it under control with no other damage to the structure. (Roseville Fire Department via Facebook)
- The City of Lincoln is soliciting proposals from firms that provide "mental health, substance use treatment, or other behavioral health care services to the general public." The city set aside $350,000 of ARPA (American Recovery Plan Act) funds for community mental health services. You can view the RFP for Mental Health Grants here. (lincolnca.gov)
