Roseville Salon to Partake in Guinness World Record Attempt

Willo SalonSpa at the Fountains at Roseville will hold a cut-a-thon raising money for Keep Tahoe Blue.

Willo SalonSpa hopes to raise $6,000 in a one-day cut-a-thon benefiting a local charity. And if they meet that goal, they'll be part of a Guinness World Record.

The salon, located at the Fountains at Roseville, plans to give free haircuts and blow drys April 22 in exchange for a donation to a local charity. The Roseville location and new Loehmanns Plaza location in Sacramento will both partake in the attempt.

The aim is to set a Guinness World Record for most money raised for a charity by haircuts in a 24-hour period, according to a press release.

Donations will be accepted to The League to Save Lake Tahoe, a nonprofit dedicated to "Keep Tahoe Blue." The nonprofit will receive 100 percent of the proceeds raised through the cut-a-thon.

The cut-a-thon is planned from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, April 22 at Willo SalonSpa at the Fountains at Roseville and Willo Beauty Bar at Loehmanns Plaza in Sacramento.
