'Unforeseen' Paving Complications Closes Portion of Oak Street
The portion of road will reopen when construction activities resume Friday morning, according to officials.

City of Roseville officials had to issue a quick notice to residents who might be driving along a portion of Oak Street when unforseen paving complications forced crews to close the street.
The notice:
Due to unforeseen circumstances related to the ongoing paving operations on
Oak Street a section of the roadway: Oak Street between Taylor Street and
Judah Street will remain closed to thru traffic this evening. When construction activities resume tomorrow morning, Oak Street will be reopened and flaggers will direct traffic.

Road work will continue along Oak St. on Friday, Monday and Tuesday, according to the current schedule.
"As in any construction plan, a schedule is a moving target and is subject to change," said City of Roseville spokesman Brian Jacobson in an email

The current plan, according to Jacobson:
Friday, March 15
Authorities will be flagging traffic on opposite sides of the work zone along:
- Oak St. from Taylor St. to Grant St., including the intersection of Taylor St. and Oak StÂ.
- Taylor St. from Oak St. to Royer St., including the intersection of Taylor and Royer.
- Shutting down Taylor St. from Oak St. to Royer St. and flagging the intersection of Royer St. and Taylor St.
Monday, March 18
Intersection of Vernon St. and Taylor St:
- Flaggers will be used and traffic will flow in the lane opposite our work zone.
Tuesday, March 19
Trench patching from Washington Boulevard to Lincoln St., including the intersection of Lincoln St. and Oak St. The eastbound lanes of Oak St. will be shut down during this operation.
Oak will not be shut down that entire time, but may be for portions of that time.
