CA Woman Rescued After Stranded For Days, Falling Down Cliff

The California Highway Patrol said the unidentified woman was rescued Sunday afternoon near Slab Creek Reservoir.

EL DORADO COUNTY, CA -- A woman is alive Monday after her truck fell down 200 feet from an El Dorado County roadway, leaving her stranded for three days. The California Highway Patrol said the unidentified woman was rescued Sunday afternoon near Slab Creek Reservoir after kayakers heard her calling for help.

The CHP sent a helicopter to locate the woman and transported her to Placerville airport where she was transported to Sutter Roseville Medical Center, officials said.

The CHP was assisted by local firefighters who had to cut trees down in order to gain access to her.

An investigation showed her truck rolled down a steep hill, causing her to be injured, officials said.
