With such a cheery time quickly approaching, you don’t want to miss the chance to spend quality time with your family. Though some only save the actually family traditions till Christmas day, others enjoy celebrating their jolliness throughout the month. Here are a few holiday activities to do with your family.

Holiday Light Tours

If your neighborhood gets into the holiday spirit it could just mean a walk around to look at your neighbors’ lights and decorations. If not, there are plenty of people that deck out their houses with tons of decorations. Hop in the car, put on the Christmas tunes, and drive around with your family enjoying the beautiful lights and quality time together.

Christmas Tree Decorating

One of the most enjoyable family traditions is decorating the Christmas tree as a family. The whole family can either have sections of the Christmas Tree to decorate or you can all make a joint effort to cover every brand with an ornament and tinsel. The best part is when you lift your kids up to put the tree topper on.

Decorating Cookies and Gingerbread Houses

Get the cookie cutters out and start rolling that dough. With so many cookies options to make, this could be a whole day activity! Making ginger snaps for the grandparents, chocolate chip for the neighbors, and sugar cookies to put out for Santa! Having icing, sprinkles, and decorating tools can turn normal cookies into color works of holiday art. Let your kids pick out their favorite shapes and decorate away. The whole family can also build a house together to keep the smell of gingerbread lasting the whole holiday season or after making it the whole family can enjoy eating the sugary treat.

Holiday Movies

There are many holiday classics to choose from. Whether you enjoy The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, Home Alone, or Frosty the Snowman, Christmas time is best for movies. You can watch the new Hallmark movies or the traditional movies you grew up with and want your kids to grow up watching. Let’s not forget Freeform’s 25 Days of Christmas!
Don’t save all the fun for just Christmas day! Make this holiday season one of the best for you and your family.
