Happy Father’s Day From Sarah Pettit
"Even though he is not my biological dad, he is who I consider to be my father."

In celebration of Father's Day on Sunday June 17, we asked Patch readers to write a letter to their father and let us deliver it. This is Sarah Pettit's letter to her dad:
Growing up I never knew my dad, and he then passed away when I was a teenager. I was always troubled with the thought of never having a father. Life went on and I grew up. I still always wished in my heart for a dad. My husband always found it funny but I figured he never understood, as he always had both of his parents in his life.
Here I am, an adult with four kids and one more on the way next year, and I finally found my dad. I met my dad through my last job and we just kind of clicked. Even though he is not my biological dad, he is who I consider to be my father.
He is a very kind, sweet, stern man. He loves me as if I were his own daughter, and he loves his grandbabies. I am wishing him an amazing Father's Day because he deserves it! He never had children of his own, and I know this was meant to be. Even though it took almost 28 years, I love you, Dad!
