SAN FRANCISCO, CA — The coworkers of a 28-year-old woman killed in a house fire early Tuesday morning in San Francisco's Inner Sunset neighborhood are remembering her as an outgoing and energetic individual.
Kelsey O'Leary died in a blaze reported around 3:30 a.m. at a house in the 1300 block of Funston Avenue.
According to Jeff Lyon, co-owner of the Third Rail bar where O'Leary worked as a bartender, she was a huge asset to his Dogpatch neighborhood business.
"She loved working here," he said. "I felt like she really wanted to learn and excel."

Additionally, he said, O'Leary's photographic memory made her a favorite with customers.
The bar's small, close-knit staff is having a hard time with O'Leary's sudden death, Lyon said. Her coworkers and friends are planning to hold a private event in her honor, where they'll collect donations to help her family with any costs.

The early morning fatal fire also sent a man to the hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening. In total, six people were displaced, including a child.
Fire Department spokesman Jonathan Baxter today said investigators are working to determine a cause for the blaze.
With little details about how the blaze started, Lyon said, "Hopefully we'll know more. But, there's part of me that doesn't want to know more ... It's hard to think about."
