Financial Women of San Francisco Celebrate IWD March 8
Financial Women of San Francisco Host Virtual International Women's Day Event March 8 - Ellevest CEO Sallie Krawcheck Opens at 1pm Pacific

SAN FRANCISCO – March 1, 2021 – In celebration of this year’s International Women's Day (#IWD2021) on Monday, March 8, 2021 the Financial Women of San Francisco (FWSF) will hold a virtual event to celebrate women’s achievement, raise awareness against bias and take action for equality. All genders and non-members are invited to attend.
Sallie Krawcheck, the dynamic CEO and Co-Founder of Ellevest, a digital financial company for women, by women, will kick off the event at 1 p.m. Pacific time with a keynote address, “A Seat at the Decision Making Table – The Future of Women in Financial Services.” Krawcheck’s professional mission is to help women reach their financial and professional goals, thus enabling them to live better lives and unleashing a positive ripple effect for women’s families, communities, and the greater economy.
“It’s a crucial time for women to challenge the biases we face every day: We’re too often held back in our careers while our male peers are promoted to positions of power,” said Krawcheck. “There are more CEOs named John than there are women CEOs of multinational companies. And we’re too often told that the gender work achievement gap is our own fault. It’s not.”

“Ellevest was founded to get more money in the hands of women. What better time than International Women’s Day — and what better place than with the hundreds of financial women of San Francisco — to talk about the actions we can take to close this gap and take our well-deserved seats at the table?”
FWSF promises an afternoon of solutions-oriented discussions to follow. At 2 p.m., following Krawcheck, there will be four concurrent sessions led by four innovative facilitators, experts on their topics. Attendees will choose one breakout session preference from the following offerings:
