SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A measure of resilience, high school choir members gave a full-throated version of 'Gilroy Strong' Sunday when they provided a rousing performance of the 'Star Spangled Banner' before tens of thousands of screaming San Francisco Giants fans.

The singers launched the Giants into a 2-1 win over the Miami Marlins during "Strike Out Violence" Day. Appropriately enough, the teens have been forced to undergo a striking out or a decompression having to recover from a July 28 mass shooting that killed four people including the gunman during their town's prized Garlic Festival.

The baseball fans rewarded the group led by Choir Director Jonathan Souza with a raucous applause as a tip-of-the-hat measure.
