Julia Roberts Buys San Francisco Home

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — San Franciscans have a new part-time neighbor. Oscar-winning actress Julia Roberts has purchased a home in the Presidio Heights neighborhood of San Francisco. The home has views of the Golden Gate Bridge from multiple rooms, including the master bedroom suite.

It was listed last year for $10.25 million, and purchased in January for $8.3 million. The home was built in 1907, the year after the great earthquake and fire that destroyed much of the city.

The five story home was designed by architect Sylvain Schnaittacher and remodeled by John Wheatman. It has five bedrooms, 4.5 baths, and lots of extras including a wine room
