Man Killed In San Francisco Shooting Identified

The shooting was reported early Wednesday morning.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A 54-year-old man died in a shooting reported early Wednesday morning in San Francisco's South of Market neighborhood, according to police.

The victim, identified by the city's medical examiner's office as Eugene Chunn, died in the shooting reported at 5:23 a.m. Wednesday in the area of Mission and Washburn streets between Ninth and 10th streets.

A 56-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the homicide, but police did not immediately release his name or any other details about the case.
