Even as vaccination rates rise and the state's coronavirus positivity rate continues to fall further below 1 percent, coronavirus and its variants are still circulating. Even past the reopening day, face coverings will be required in some indoor settings such as on K-12 campuses and aboard public transit. Masking rules are also still up in the air for those who work indoors in California.
California's Occupational Safety and Health Board will vote on new workplace rules Thursday.
