BAY AREA, CA — A rainstorm is expected to sweep the Bay Area Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
The storm hovered around the California-Oregon border around 4 a.m. and is expected to arrive in the North Bay — which is forecast to see the most rain — in the late morning or early afternoon. From there, the storm will head south into the evening and night, according to NWS.
Temperatures are expected to be a bit chillier Friday. Many places will stay in the 40s, according to NWS.

Forecasts indicate San Francisco is most likely to see showers after 10 a.m. Friday and into the night.
Drier skies and warmer temperatures are expected to return Saturday, but they aren't forecast to last for long; a cold front is likely to pass over the region Tuesday and Wednesday. Rain is also possible again on those days.
