SF District Attorney Outraged At 2 Potrero Hill Homicides

The city's District Attorney took to Twitter hours after two homicides Saturday in the Potrero Hill neighborhood.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — The city's District Attorney took to Twitter hours after two homicides Saturday in the Potrero Hill neighborhood.

Chesa Boudin tweeted at 7:06 p.m. that "I am outraged by the recent shooting deaths." He also pledged his support in the ongoing investigations.

"My homicide leads are already working with SFPD on the investigation. If you have information about any of these shootings please call 415-575-4444."

The first victim Saturday morning involved a man in his 50s police found at about 10 a.m. near 25th and Connecticut streets suffering from a gunshot wound. He died later at a local hospital.

The second homicide was barely two hours later, shortly before 12:30 p.m., when officers investigating the first shooting learned of a second shooting in the first block of Dakota Street.
Upon arrival, officers located two men suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victims, ages 49 and 54, were taken to a hospital, where one of the victims died. The other victim remains in critical condition, police said.

Homicide detectives are investigating whether there is any connection between the two shootings.
