SF Police Officer Hospitalized After Assault
A suspect was arrested in San Francisco after a police officer was injured in an assault.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A police officer was injured Friday night after being assaulted by a male suspect.
Officers responded to a 6:45 p.m. report of someone making threats in the 600 block of Kearny Street in San Francisco's Chinatown district and made contact with the suspect.
The suspect assaulted one officer, who was taken to a local hospital and is expected to survive.

Additional officers arrived on the scene and arrested the suspect.
No additional details were provided in a new release issued Sunday by the San Francisco Police Department.
