SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA, CA — St. Patrick's Day festivities ground to an abrupt halt in 2020 as pandemic-related lockdowns began. But this year, Irish eyes will be smiling — there's far more than just a wee bit o' activities throughout the Bay Area.

The biggies — namely San Francisco and Dublin's parades and fests — did scrap the large, crowd-luring events, but there are ample small-scale or virtual concerts, races, shamrock hunts and outdoor dining in most towns. Plus, numerous non-profits are getting creative with COVID-safe, corned beef-and-cabbage drive-thrus. ( And P.S.: Those are selling out fast.)
