How the 49ers made it
The 49ers advanced to the Super Bowl by defeating the Green Bay Packers on Jan. 19 in the NFC Championship game. The 37-20 victory at home in Levi's Stadium continued the Niners' impressive season, which they finished with a 13-3 regular season record.

Renowned for its defense, this year's 49ers have benefited greatly from the talents of defensive whizzes Nick Bosa, Fred Warner and Richard Sherman.
On the other side of the ball, quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo finished the year with 3,978 passing yards in his first full season as the 49ers' starter.
Betting odds have the Chiefs as 1.5-point favorites against the 49ers. But with two great teams facing off, it's really anyone's game.
