Suspected Burglar Arrested After Multiple Break In Attempts
A Sacramento man was arrested in South San Francisco after trying to break into two homes.
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A Sacramento man was arrested Thursday in South San Francisco on suspicion of multiple attempted burglaries, officials said.
Police responded to a call from a 63-year-old resident that was reporting an attempted burglary on Arlington Drive in the Winston Manor Park neighborhood of South San Francisco.
The resident told police that he went outside after hearing suspicious noises behind his home, where he found a man attempting to enter the home through a bathroom window. The suspect fled the scene after he was confronted by the resident.

Officers and detectives quickly retrieved and arrested the suspect close to the home. Damian Goodwin, 33, is a Sacramento resident.
Officers discovered that Goodwin was on probation for weapons violations and was in possession of a device used to ingest illegal substances.

Goodwin tried to break into another residence several hours beforehand, where a 90-year-old man lived, but fled after he was confronted by the man's caregiver.
Goodwin was arrested and is being held at the Maguire Correctional Facility in Redwood City.
