Wender Weis Fdn Announces Holiday Heroes at Home 12/8
Forever Giant Pablo Sandoval to Receive Inspiration Award; Giants Enterprises Stephen Revetria to Receive Community Philanthropy Award

This year the beloved Holiday Heroes will come right to your home in a virtual interactive way to bring magical holiday joy while raising critically-needed funds for children and families who are in crisis on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at 5 p.m. Tickets start at $150 and are available at holidayheroes.eventbrite.com.
Virtual guests will receive a Wonder Box filled with holiday goodies, arts and craft projects for the entire family, and surprise elements delivered directly to their front door prior to the event.
Guests will experience athlete appearances, musical entertainment, award presentations to forever San Francisco Giant Pablo Sandoval and Stephen Revetria of Giants Enterprises and take part in an incredible online auction filled with jewelry, sports memorabilia, experiences and more. For those with an extra dose of the holiday spirit can send a Be-A-Hero Boxes to underserved children filled with the same treats as the wonder boxes but including essential items such as non-perishable food, toiletries, and gift cards.
“Holiday Heroes – now Holiday Heroes at Home-- is our biggest fundraiser of the year and it gives us the opportunity to help children who are in need all year long. With the funds raised we’ve been able to develop several legacy projects including naming a room on the bone marrow transplant unit at for kids undergoing bone and marrow transplants at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital, refurbishing a basketball court with the Warriors Foundation in South San Francisco, being an initial funder of the music therapy program at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital and partnering on a multi-year fitness build with the 49ers Foundation,” said Amy Wender, founder of the Wender Weis Foundation for Children, now in its 26th year of service to families in need in the Bay Area.
Proceeds from Holiday Heroes at Home will benefit several wonderful non-profits: Edgewood Center for Families and Children, Family House, Junior Giants, Play Marin, Project Glimmer, Raphael House, and There With Care. Event chairs for Holiday Heroes at Home are Emilie and Andrew Lynch and Ashley and Morgan Berman and Honorary Chair is Michelle Gilman Jasen and Rich Jasen.
“WWFC also supports numerous Bay Area non-profits that serve children and are pleased to have donated $4.5 million to our beneficiaries in the community, hosted over 5,500 at risk-children to Holiday Heroes, served over 50,000 plus underserved children and 600 professional athletes and celebrities have donated their time to attend Holiday Heroes,”said Wender.
